Del Doherty '06

Biochemistry

Family:

My wife, Stephanie, is a 2006 Wartburg grad. We met at our freshman orientation and got married at the chapel, so Wartburg holds a very special place in our hearts.

About me:

I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with my doctorate in pharmacy and masters in public health. I just started my new job as a staff pharmacist at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview Riverside. I am also pursuing my PhD in social and administrative pharmacy at the university.

What do you enjoy doing?

I enjoy discovering and sharing new ideas, especially about politics, public policy, public health and other cultural issues.

What do you think makes Wartburg stand out from other schools?

Wartburg has a culture which allows everyone to express themselves and belong. Wartburg has a culture in which every faculty, staff and student is invested.

What is currently your favorite thing about Wartburg?

Coming back, revisiting old places, meeting old and new faces, and being engaged.

What does "Being Orange" mean to you?
Be orange is a lifestyle! For me, it is a concept imbued with unfathomable experiences, emotions, friendships and lifelong relationships that can only be summarized by two simple words, BE ORANGE!
